lachlan madden
Lachlan Madden is a Wiradjuri man through
his maternal grandfather, however he was
born and raised on North Stradbroke Island,
the place he fondly calls home. Lachlan has a
customer focus and is a brilliant visionary, his
goals for Goompi Projects are out there, but
achievable. He can’t wait to turn these
visions into reality, and share with our community.
He left the island at age 14, whilst he missed home, it provided him with a worldly experience and helped him better understand and advocate for diversity. He has a background in performing arts having spent two years with the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA).
Complimenting his professional work, Lachlan also has a Diploma in Small Business Management and Indigenous Mentoring, Certificate III in Performing Arts and has Aviation Flight qualifications.
He is passionate about finding ways to boost the confidence of our youth, removing the word ‘shame’ from their vocabulary whilst instilling pride, empowering them to be their better selves, to dream big and achieve greatness. Lachlan wants to support other young people who face the same struggles he did growing up in a small community, teaching them how to be strong and proud of their identity, no matter who they are. He wants to empower people of the LGBTIQ community to improve social outcomes.
